TOMASZ KOCLĘGA

The Artist 
Tomasz Koclęga (b 1968) is an internationally acclaimed artist who resides and works in Zabrze, Poland. He pursued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and graduated in 1993.
Tomasz maintained an active involvement in academia and held a position as a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. He has also been invited as a guest lecturer by universities worldwide, including the United States, India, Finland, and the Czech Republic.
The Art 
The art of Tomasz Koclęga celebrates the perfection of the human figure. This fascination defines the scope of its creative activities, often expressed through figurative sculpture. In his utopian vision, the human body embodies universal characteristics, erasing distinctions of race, sex and age.

His engagement with art in the global urbanscape has grown over the last few years. His enigmatic, interactive installations have graced public spaces in Poland, Lithuania, the USA, Korea, and India.
